Princess of Hell — Book 3 Author: Eve Langlais Release Date: To say I have mommy issues is putting it mildly. The woman who abandoned me has a lot of nerve to just saunter back into my life without warning and drop a bombshell of atomic proportions.
The characters are definitely not flat, and the point of view from Tinkerbell was pretty cool. Okay, yes, it’s probably a bit more of a book a girl would enjoy rather than a boy. It certainly isn’t action-packed, but it’s a really good book for the most part.
Enjoyed this vampire romance. Jessica’s teen emotions were more realistic than Bella’s. Dec 21, When she gets to school, he’s there in her English Lit class, an exchange student from Romania called Lucius Veldescu, domineering the teacher and, again, watching her. It’s when he turns up for dinner at her parents farm that things get really freaky – especially when he claims he’s a vampire prince and she’s a vampire princess and his betrothed, that they must marry to fulfil the pact so that war doesn’t break out between their clans Determined to think Lucius is crazy as well as charming, arrogant, attractive and, yes, dangerous, Jessica refuses to let him have his way even if he does seem to have her parents on his side.
Until he’s nearly killed by a horse and then starts dating cheerleeder-blonde-bitch extraordinaire, Faith Crosse, Jessica thought she could get rid of him and be happy settling for “nice” and simple Jake; now the pact is being threatened by Lucius himself, who no longer seems to want her, just as she discovers how much she wants to be a part of his world. It’s a fairly obvious thing to point out that this book is aimed at all the teen Twilight fans out there.
Let’s cover this so we can move past it. Fact is, when we like something we always want more of it.

I attacked “the pile” actually it’s a row of books on my kitchen desk that winks at me when I go in there multiple times a day and decided I’d focus on all the yummy new books that Cynthia Leitich Smith sent us after I won her fabulous October giveaway. I think that the cover also does a good job indicating what’s inside – Gina, our trusty protagonist, is a former mean girl fashionista who wakes up in her coffin and quickly figures out that her recent make-out session with chess club geek turned suddenly superhunk, Bobby, involved a little more nipping than usually experienced in seven minutes in heaven.
Her annoying neanderthal boyfriend, Chaz hello, is that a name that just screams “dump me”? Bobby is waiting patiently for Gina as she claws her way out of her coffin and ruins her manicure to explain what’s happened and she quickly realizes that she just may be, for once in her life, truly in love with someone. But all is not easy for our young and undead lovers. Bobby is very coveted and not just by young women impressed by his six pack.
The highly anticipated sequel to Jessicas Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. Its one thing to find out youre a vampire princess. Its a whole other thing to actually rule/5(8).
High school senior Jessica Packwood is a down-to-earth mathlete with a murky future. What she definitely doesn’t see coming is foreign exchange student–and vampire– Lucius Vladescu showing up at her door. According to Lucius, Jessica is actually vampire royalty, and they’ve been betrothe to one another since infancy.
That’s just what a girl wants to hear. And, after all, Lucius may be arrogant, but he’s easy to look at. Unfortunately, Jessica’s not the only girl in school who’s noticed. If she can hold off the evil cheerleaders long enough, she might just find a future with Lucius–and save his sould from eternal damnation.
Author Beth Fantaskey injects a little humor into the vampire romance genre with this critically acclaimed debut, while narrators Katherine Kellgren and Jeff Woodman capture Jessica and Lucius’ colorful personalities.

This’ll ruin my life! That’s something that you can’t have when Rick shows up. Everything real turns fake, everything right is wrong, all you know is that you know nothing and he knows everything. He’s more like a demon or a super fucked up god. The cartoon is created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. This bizarre series centers around the misadventures of Morty Smith voiced by Justin Roiland , a troubled young high school student, and Rick Sanchez also voiced by Justin Roiland , Morty’s alcoholic Mad Scientist grandfather.
Rick constantly pulls Morty and his family out of their normal lives to go on sci-fi acid trips across the multiverse and help him carry out insane science experiments. Morty’s parents think of Rick as a negative influence on their son, but they keep Rick around the house anyway just as long as he sort of keeps Morty in school. An official licensed comic based on the show is available from Oni Press , as well as two spinoffs from said comic Little Poopy Superstar, starring Summer and Mr.

Series, Book Two Synopsis can be found here. I mean, I have it on Kindle and Hardcover. The answer my dear vampire loving friends is- YES! Jessica Rules picks up a little after where book one left off.
The sardonic, haughty and hilarious vampire, Lucius Vladescu really makes this book stand-out. Because of their noble bloodlines and a tremendous financial inheritance, Lucius and Jessica have been promised in marriage unbeknownst to Jessica since birth. Since Jessica’s been raised as an all-American girl, naturally she finds the idea of an arranged marriage very distasteful.
To try and change her mind, Lucius registers as an exchange student at her school and takes up residence in her parent’s barn. As the story unfolds we begin to see another side of Lucius. Frequently beaten by his harsh uncle during his Dickensian childhood, he begins to relax a bit and enjoy what he sees as a decadent suburban lifestyle. I found the idea that Jessica’s adopted parents would keep her entire adoption a secret for all these years very difficult to credit, and was a little surprised to see her parents continually trying to push the two teens together.
In Fantaskey’s world, female vampires only develop their full powers after being bitten by a male. Male vampires develop their powers and limitations naturally as they age. Something about this inequality of the sexes bothered me.

They’re short books, like most of these, but I really did enjoy them. It’s like a vampire tale, but about a more independent girl, who’s a junkie and a semi-alcoholic, but gets past it with her love. Okay, first off, they’re childrens books BUT they’re really good.
Feb 19, · Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancé.
A pair of excellent readers, endearing characters and a fresh take on Romanian vampires make this a very enjoyable story. Jessica was adopted from Romania as a baby by her parents who were there studying the reclusive vampire community. It turns out that she was also betrothed to a vampire prince as an infant. Fast forward 17 years and Lucius arrives in rural Lebanon County, Pennsylvania to meet his bride. The next thing we know, Lucius is enrolled in the local public high school with Jessica and is trying to fit in among American teenagers.
Lucius is tall, dark and handsome — enjoys fine literature and soon discovers basketball. Jessica is a super-rational mathlete who loves horses and is not confident about her beauty. One of the nice things about this story is that we have two 17 year olds, not a seventeen year old and a year old. There are major challenges ahead for Lucius and Jessica. This is a coming of age story for each of them as they move along their intertwined paths.
This story lurked in the back of my mind between listens.
